From Thursday 7 to Saturday 23 December, enjoy the ultimate Christmas atmosphere in the historic heart of The Hague, under a twinkling starry sky of 100,000 lights at a Christmas market of international allure. With dozens of Christmas houses, countless Christmas trees, an illuminated sky in the form of a hundred thousand twinkling LED lights and the beautiful, historical surroundings, this Christmas market of international allure guarantees the ultimate Christmas atmosphere. The Christmas market on Lange Voorhout, named ‘the most beautiful avenue in the Netherlands’, is popular with the expat community for good reason. Steaming mulled wine, crackling fires and pleasant music complete the total Christmas experience.

Craft and quality
The Royal Christmas Fair is distinguished by the many high-quality, artisanal products for sale in the cozy Christmas houses, from soaps and special Christmas items to wood carvings and sheepskins. Of course, food and drinks are also available in abundance.Food trucks with German currywurst and raclette and cozy bars with delicious drinks make a visit a real outing. Enjoy the many choirs, singing actors and the real Christmas sing-a-long. There is an activities program for children and Santa Claus will be present every day for photos.

The Royal Christmas Fair is not only very enjoyable, but also increasingly sustainable. For electricity, the Christmas market works with a battery pack; the lighting is largely LED; the waste flows are separated and there are no plastic glasses or plates in use.

Practical information
The Royal Christmas Fair is free to visit every day from 12 noon to 9 p.m. It is easily accessible by car, bicycle and public transport and within walking distance of The Hague Central Station. The three entrances are at Theater Diligentia, Hotel Des Indes and the Tournooiveld.
