This Tony Award-winning play, written by DavidIves, is a sexy, dark comedy that offers aprovocative and witty exploration of submission, power, control, and S&M. The plot unfolds in a single setting: a rehearsal room. Playwright-director Thomas Novachek is frustrated after a long day of unsuccessful auditions when actress Vanda Jordan arrives to audition for a role inThomas’ new play. Vanda, seemingly unsuited forthe role, proves to be remarkably well-prepared as the audition progresses, embodying the character with uncanny precision. The lines between reality and fiction blur as they delve deeper into the script.
