In 2025, Art Rotterdam will celebrate its 26th edition at a new venue! From Friday 28 to Sunday 30 March, this increasingly varied fair will take up residence in Rotterdam Ahoy: a fitting location for the new, unique concept that has taken shape.In the much larger Ahoy, Art Rotterdam will be able to bring back components that have been developed over the past 25 years but always fell through due to lack of space, such as Sculpture Park, Intersections and the Projections video section.
During the upcoming edition, the ambitious Art Rotterdam aims to welcome around 28,000 international collectors, curators, professionals and art lovers.
Larger and more international
The lack of space at previous locations, which hindered the presentation of the Mondriaan Fund’s Prospects exhibition, for example, prompted the move to Rotterdam Ahoy. At the new location, existing and new sections will be given free rein, such as the large-scale video section Projections, Intersections and Sculpture Park. In addition, the 2025 edition features more foreign galleries than ever. Rotterdam Ahoy also provides an attractive variety of catering facilities.
New format of the fair: international allure and experience
The 26th edition includes five major curated sections:
Projections – a spectacular video section in a darkened space of over 800 square metres, with projections on free- standing screens 5 metres wide;
Mondriaan Fund’s Prospects exhibition – 13th edition featuring the work of as many as 118 emerging artists. The Mondriaan Fund organises the Prospects exhibition annually to boost the visibility of starting artists. Its proximity to Art Rotterdam allows art professionals and collectors, as well as a wide range of art lovers, to become acquainted with the work of these promising artists.
Intersections – a free space of around 500 square metres with particularly pronounced and large-scale installations, featuring artworks by participating galleries and project spaces;
Sculpture Park – designed as a meeting point at the fair with some 300 square metres for mostly large-scale sculptures;
Main Section | Solo Duo | New Art Section – the now familiar sections with presentations by top galleries from home and abroad.
