More than 3,800 premium flats and studios in a unique city park. Top architects creating a prestigious ultra-modern urban district in the Amsterdam metropolitan area.
An architectural, sustainable and low-traffic district equipped with every contemporary amenity. With wide boulevards, spacious courtyard gardens and sun-drenched roof terraces. That’s what Hyde Park has to offer. A totally new concept, where everyone feels at home.
Amsterdam city centre, the Zuidas and Schiphol Airport are just around the corner. And just a few km from Hoofddorp are the main Randstad motorways (A4, A5, A9). Sea and dunes are within cycling distance. And restaurants, shops, sports and medical facilities, a lush green city park and even an NS railway station can be found at walking distance.
MVRDV architects (known for Rotterdam’s Market Hall, among others) drew up the urban development master plan for this unique new construction project. Architectural firms of repute are designing the individual apartment buildings, such as Knightsbridge. All this will result in a cosmopolitan whole, constructed from sustainable and beautiful materials of the very best quality. Hyde Park is the city district of today and tomorrow, a place where people with a sense of style and allure feel right at home.
Matching the international lifestyle
Hyde Park is meeting the high residential demands of cosmopolitan consumers. Firstly with its global architecture. But also with high-end services, including home-delivery shopping, dry cleaning and a butler service. There is a wide range of restaurants in the area. You are free to enjoy a glass of wine, since they are all within walking distance of your home.
A workout the next day to get the body back in shape? No problem. Tennis courts, hockey fields, fitness centres and plenty of nature for running or for boot camping are an integral part of this residential area. For frequent flyers, who regularly travel abroad for work or family, this is an ideal base. Excellent public transport (bus, train and in a few years also a metro) puts you in the heart of Schiphol International Airport within 4 minutes.
Perfect location
Hyde Park is located in the heart of the Randstad, which connects Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague. It is next to Hoofddorp railway station, easily accessible from the A4 and A5 motorways and only 4 minutes away from Schiphol Airport with its workforce of over 100,000. Hyde Park residents are in an ideal location, given the many job opportunities at Schiphol Airport and in the Randstad cities. Not to mention the international travel connections.

The architects of Knightsbridge – Team V Architecture
When the first residents move into their flats in the Knightsbridge building, it will really only be the beginning for Team V Architecture. For this architectural bureau, a building is not ‘finished’ upon completion. No, at that point their design is only ready to come to life and to contribute to society and culture. Not an end, then, but a beginning.
Do Janne Vermeulen & Jeroen van Schooten.
Things have moved fast for this Amsterdam bureau. They started in 2013, with an enthusiastic group of 14 architects – now there are more than 60. The founders are Do Janne Vermeulen (b.1977) and Jeroen van Schooten (b.1960). Both have distinguished themselves in architecture. Jeroen’s drawings include the new Central Station in Rotterdam and the former ING building near Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district. Do Janne made her name with the sustainable renovation of the main building of Eindhoven University of Technology, and also with the design of HAUT on the river Amstel in Amsterdam. At over 73 metres and 21 floors, it is the tallest wooden residential tower in the country.
For Team V Architecture, the challenge of Hyde Park lay in three things. A strong and modern urban plan for the whole area. A clear focus on clever design. And then there is the iconic spot that ‘their’ Knightsbridge building occupies. It forms the entrance to this new district, located on the main boulevard that opens up Hyde Park. “Every reason to make it an iconic building. With a fitting translation of the master plan in the design, but also in the use of high-quality materials, a rich variety of housing types – no less than 406 studios and flats in total – and with a great courtyard garden.”
