On 4, 5 & 6 July, the atmospheric Wonderfeel festival will take place at Landgoed Groeneveld in Baarn. For three days, enjoy live performances by musicians and writers, participate in yoga sessions, picnic by the pond or dine in the castle. The 18th-century castle Groeneveld is a beautiful outdoor location in Baarn with romantic seating areas and centuries-old beech trees along winding paths. The ideal spot to enjoy beautiful classical music with links to pop, soul and jazz by more than 350 top musicians on six different stages.
Musical surprises
Op het Veld, which offers a view of the castle, will feature performances by star soprano Jeanine De Bique and Maarten Engeltjes with PRJCT Amsterdam and pianists Julien Libeer and Elodie Vignon, among others. Swing along to the Brazilian sounds of Femke Smit or be inspired by the musical collective LUDWIG. Enjoy the combination of folklore and jazz by Lucia Fumero ft Fuensanta, the Namibian influences of Shishani Vranckx, the Bosnian sevdah by Amira Medunjanin and the Kafkaesque work of Coal Harbour.
Atmosphere and experience
Between sessions, have a picnic by the pond, dine in the castle, join the yoga sessions, or enjoy a coffee in the festival living room. There are food vans with snacks from all over the world and a wine bar. At De Boekenbar, there will be plenty of room for literature. A permanent feature is Poetry under the Tree, with poets such as Ester Naomi Perquin and Robin Block. In discussion programme Bomen over Boeken, writers will have their say on current themes, inspired by the festival programme.
Children’s programme
Wonderfeel offers an extensive children’s programme throughout the festival weekend, from children’s concerts and music theatre to musical and creative workshops. Build your own drum installation or make your own creations at the graphic studio.
